This is a work-in-progress sculpting tool that I've been developing since early December 2009. Its main feature is dynamic mesh tesselation that will provide additional detail where necessary, without the user needing to worry about it.

The plugin lets you export images from Lightroom to Photomatix Pro.
Note that the plugin is intended for exporting rendered photos, the default being 16-bit TIFF files. If you choose to export non-rendered photos as DNG files instead, you would lose the main benefit of using the Lightroom plugin -- the RAW conversion/rendering of the DNG files would have to be done in Photomatix when you export DNG files, and this is slower and of lesser quality than the rendering done in Lightroom.
Once you have processed the exported files in Photomatix Pro, you can re-import the tone mapped or blended image back into Lightroom. For that, check the option "Open the saved image in" located at the bottom of the Save panel (the Save panel is the dialog that shows when you choose File > Save As in Photomatix Pro), and select "Adobe Lightroom" on the list.
Note: the next version of the plugin will make it possible to automatically re-import directly into the Lightroom library (if you have Lightroom 2.0 or higher).
